Going to New York. Am real excited. Thrilled even.
Possibly electrified. Tell you about it when I get back.

Yeah, so Doug convinced me to go on this New York trip which I am mad excited about...but it will be bittersweet. One, I will be rather close to Elizabeth and her homeland and I shall not be able to see her. Second, the memories I have of the east coast involve people who will not be there...namely britta (and Dez, although we've not been in contact lately). I'll be there with people I like...but still...there is nothing like traveling with people that you love.

The super up-side of this is that we will be immersed in theatre for a week. Doug is so hooked up over there...I can't even believe it. I suppose that's what comes from being an NYU graduate and a stellar art director/set designer and living there for twelve years.

I'm so not good about plagiarism. At least I don't do it for school and whenever I do it the people know...so I guess it's not really plagiarism.

Look what I'm doing next year...

So, here is a correspondence I had recently:

----

Dear Jennifer,

Thanks so much for your interest in participating on our 2005-6 theatre season. We have reviewed your application and have determined that we would like you to serve as Scenic Designer for Getting Married, the senior showcase production by George Bernard Shaw which will play in the Margetts Arena Theatre during fall semester. Barta Heiner is the Director and Amanda Beverly will be your Assistant Designer. We would also like to invite you to design Sarah, Plain and Tall, our spring production in the Pardoe Theatre, with director Amy Jensen. Would you please contact me and let me know if you can accept our invitations? If the answer is yes, a packet will be provided to you that has instructions on how to proceed from here.

Thanks again for your willingness to serve - we value you and look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Janet
