I'm so totally on YouTube. This is a little movie my friend Scott made as part of his application to get into the BYU Advertising major. It's pretty cheesy, but kind of fun.

Note: this is why I am in design and not acting.

Oh, if you get a chance, you should maybe check out the Korean dubbed version. It's pretty stinking funny . . . especially the part where my voice is dubbed . . .

The interview went very well today and I was informed that I am officially accepted into the Berlin Study Abroad program. This is going to have a few negative repercussions, but, I've weighed all my options and I am going. Thanks to all those who aided me in my decision. So, this means that I won't graduate until forever . . . and while that's a little embarrassing, I think it'll be worth my time. Look for Jennifer's graduation around December 2008.

Now, I just need to decide how I'm going to earn a ton of money this summer and which computer I need to buy and how to buy it. Oh, and I should probably figure out what I'm doing after the rigmarole of graduation. Grad school? Professional career? Move to Seattle? I don't know yet.

I was perusing my iTunes a few days ago and noticed that "So Cruel" had reached my number four spot. I've been listening to it quite a bit this week . . . if you couldn't tell. I remember one time hearing Bono saying that he could never write a pure love song . . . he said he always had to have some sort of twist or despair in it. I wish I had the exact quote. He was talking about "Sweetest Thing" when he said it, I believe, and I've never forgotten it.

I remember the very first time I heard that song. I had just bought Achtung Baby as end-of-finals-week gift to myself and was listening to several of the songs for the very first time. I'd heard Jessi mention "So Cruel", but had never actually experienced it. It's one of those songs that was love at first sight . . . or, listen rather. Purely astounding. I had an instant love affair with it. I found myself literally breathlessly amazed as I listened to it. I couldn't believe I had been without that song for so many years. I love the sound, the music, the build, the movement, the climax, the feel, the words . . . everything. I remember thinking during that song, "U2. Freaking geniuses." That was a good night. And, I still love that song.
